Halloween Parties In Shenzhen 2024
Halloween is not a traditional holiday in China, but it’s still pretty popular in Shenzhen although not as much as in other cities like Shanghai and Hong Kong which take it to another level. That said Shenzhen Halloween was a lot of fun too.
I went to a few of my favourite locations I went, This is what I saw. I’m very sure other venues in Shekou (Sea world), and OCT (in Nanshan) were just as fun too. Maybe I will go there next year to join their celebrations.

Not Just a festival
Halloween was funny this year because it landed in the middle of the week, So for the first time that I have noticed there were several Halloween events on different days. In fact there were at least 4 dates for Halloween events in Shenzhen. For example some events were on a Saturday, or a Friday before the 31st, as well as on the actual real date.
correct date, others were even on November 1st. As always the whole things was fun, and peaceful where most people were focused on having a great time, and bars were eager to get punters in.
Shuiwei
I forget the actual date but I think it was on the 26th for the official Shuiwei bar area. This is where the management and selected bars and restaurants co-operated to make one big party. This results were insane crowds and choked streets full of people in Halloween costumes such as ghost, ghouls, cosplay and regular folk who evolved naturally into drunk zombies. Cafe Society and Brass House were the epicentres of pub crawl as far as I could see. Brass House was almost impassable and Cafe Society was just as busy.

Halloween at aPark
I actually missed this one because it was on 25th I think. I missed the official aPark Halloween date, which by what I saw online from friends videos was absolutely crazy. The management pulled out all the stops, decorated the whole place, got all the bars, coffee shops and restaurants involved and even hired NPCs (people dressed up to scare people). I don’t images of that but I do of the deco.

Dab Hause & Borra Chera
Dab Haus celebrated their own individual Halloween Party on the 1st of Novemeber. I got there late but both places were having a lot of fun.

Fuk Hong Hse
This was Fuk Hong Hse (Fook Hong House) also celebrated their 3 year anniversary on the 1st of November.

Final Thoughts
Shenzhen’s Halloween was period was a lot of fun this year, it was great to see so many people out again and spending their hard earned money at their favourite bars. I wish I could have gone to more places, perhaps next year.
I also have some reviews for Cafe Society, Redang and Brass House coming up and they are in the pipeline.
If your are looking for something similar check out my reviews on Echo PM, Borra and Chera, or Cafe Society, and Baker’s Base, all in Futian. If your looking something different check out the review for Rongli (rockys bar) and then there is also another great spot in Lotiko in Nanshan. Although DABhaus has good cocktails, if your specifically looking for this try Cement, Ben’s bar or RMK.
